Belinda Bertholini was riduculed extensively, being a larger stocky human growing up in the lower side of Buckerton. She was schooled at Buckerton Vocational Tech and learned a bit of the technical trade, but her claim to fame entails signing on with various ameteur wrestling and other such gladiatorial entertainment tri-vid circuits under the surname of "Big Bertha", a personae made famous by her often repeated quip of "A gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do". This was a lucrative business for her, but like all fads it didn't last long.
She eventually landed a ship's technician stint with a local passenger vessel destined to explore a new world, the SS Serena Dawn. She served under the engineering staff, maintaining the various pieces of equipment and systems aboard the liner. However, prior to landing that job she was approached by several members of the Star Devil piracy ring and as such she agreed to forward intel of the ship's layout and flight schedule, thus enabling the ease in which the pirates could take the ship later.
She escaped Volturnus before the sathar arrived, and remains at large. She has arrest warrants issued by Star Law in Truane's Star and Zebulon, as well as being wanted for questioning for suspicions of activity in several other systems.

![]() October 1, 2007 - 4:45pm | I (Simon Wesley) met Belinda aboard the Serena Dawn. You can imagine my suprise when we thought we captured a land-lubber but in fact had captured a Star Devil! ![]() |
October 13, 2007 - 4:24am | Bertha was an infiltrator aboard the Serena Dawn, posing as a ship's technician. She was feeding intel to the Star Devils such as a comprehensive deckplan arrangements along with flight times and travel paths. That's how the pirates knew exactly when the craft would be arriving and how they could efficiently ransack it. Just one of many twists in my reverse Volturnus trilogy game...the party has since led the capture of the original four expedition members including Grod and Jameson, fully detailing how Grod got injured (remember the tattered remains found in Slave City One, in my game there's a back story to that). |
