Shadow Shack August 22, 2017 - 7:09pm | Reprinting WEG's 1st Edition of Star Wars RPG 'Nuff said. |
jedion357 August 23, 2017 - 9:28am | Do you consider this Superior to later editions? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Shadow Shack August 23, 2017 - 6:05pm | No idea, I never played the game. It's a shame that WotC won't get off their butts for a 35th Anny SF re-release. But hey, I'll take a fresh (to me) game of SW over nothing at this point. |
kinock August 30, 2017 - 9:03am | The later editions tightened up some of the rules. I don't think the core mechanics changed between the editions. I'm going to pick this up since it getting harder and harder to find the rule books in good condition and for a decent price. |
Shadow Shack August 30, 2017 - 7:18pm | So in your experienced opinion --- what other books/supplements would you say are core necessities for the game? Not so much in the way of supporting the various novels & movies but just for a clean game experience outside those realms? I only ask as there is a slew of stuff that saw print that makes the Traveller game like boxed set D&D by comparison and I am guessing that unless you're die hard enough to be in possession of a lock of George Lucas' hair with the intent of cloning him in the future, you really don't need all of those items. |
kinock September 6, 2017 - 5:25pm | I would get the equipment supplements. They made one for each movie and for the Thrawn triology. You wouldn't have to get all of them since some of the material was reprinted. |
Shadow Shack September 6, 2017 - 7:28pm | One more Q --- how compatible is 1e with the "newer" 2e stuff? |
aemonaylward September 6, 2017 - 9:48pm | One more Q --- how compatible is 1e with the "newer" 2e stuff? Pretty much fully IIRC. You can browse to your heart's content in the downloads section at d6holocron.com if that helps you decide whether you want to shell out for hardcopies. |
