How do you handle advanced characters?

In the game in which I'm currently playing, everyone is floating at 280 exp. Soon, everyone will be as good as anyone else in the party inside their PSA. Technician or Military will soon have 6's in several skills and be the same as the others in their PSA.

Given the SL 6 limit, how do you keep things diversified?

Give them high level opponents. Surely they have manage to piss someone off along the way that can come back to torment them.

One group I ran had a falling out between players, one side left and started their own career as "bad guys" and later came back to torment the other side. When the bad guys were beaten, I had their leader cyernetically "resurrected" to come back for more fun.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Adventures with puzzles, negotiations, mysteries, murder who dun its, ect combat is probably now resolved by who shoots first.

High level bad guys, hordes of low level bad guys, good ole fashion Alamo stand scenario.

Apocalypse campaign with gravest stakes and massively explosive finish to end the PCs story (retirement)
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Do they have a ship yet? Campaigns can be easily built around a ship.

There are articles in SFman that introduce other skill sets to broaden the PCs and consume some of these XPs so that PCs don't become just uber cookie cutters.  Introduce adventures that call upon non standard skills so that the PCs need to draw upon new skill sets.

Also introducing KH skills if not done yet will burn up some of those XPs because the KH skills use AD skills as prerequisites.

Yes sir, nothing depletes XP more efficiently than canon KH skills. Smile

One other thought, if the group has gotten too "powerful" you can do what I did: start up a second generation group based on their offspring (whether said offspring is legitimate or otherwise). Make the original group NPCs that can be portraayed as the need arises but base the campaign off the new group instead.
