jedion357 January 7, 2016 - 6:14am | Polyphemus is perhaps the most famous Cyclops from literature. So the system primary should be named this. Cyclops is the inhabited planet, named so by first explorers because evolution seems to have evolve most higher lifeforms with only one eye. There were 3 brother Cyclops in ancient Greek literature: Brontes, Steropes, & Arges. These might as well be the names of other planets. Consulting with an astronomer friend (Tom S), the recommendation is K5-K8 reddisf orange Star and Cyclops @ .4-.5 AU I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 January 7, 2016 - 6:17am | Since I'm going for Cyclops being a planet of mystery with things to solve I'd like an anomaly in space that can be a mystery to solve. Open to ideas and we don't have to stop at one anomoly. In fact one could just be an anomoly that just is and is in essence a red herring. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 January 7, 2016 - 6:22am | One idea that popped was a large and odd asteroid in a Lagrange point around one of the other planets. In the Alternity module the klikk's ships were giant asteroids. This anomolous asteroid could be a ship or station that has long remained dormant until the PCs started poking around in system. That's one idea. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
