 December 30, 2015 - 5:04pm | The review of the Vimh brought the yazirian disc grenade to my attention from SFman 5. What is needed is a disc grenade bandolier. There normally is a IM penalty if you are caught with a pistol holstered or rifle slung on shoulder. The disc grenade bandolier keeps them ready to hand and reduces the IM penalty by 1? Think chewbacca's bandolier except with disc grenades Two can be worn as crossed bandoliers. There is also an old style weapons harness that was designed to hold 4 zamra and the back sheath for a kahdan sword. Waist belt part of harness has slots/pouches for a few items of equipment (knife, goggles, etc) a pistol holstered is easily attached. Zamras or disc grenades fit these bandoliers and harness. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
December 30, 2015 - 5:09pm | Arbitrarily picking 5 for a bandolier to hold. Cost is 10 Cr? And wt is nill if worn. Leather bandolier .5 kg if not worn , modern light wt textiles no wt at all worn or not. Possible freebie starting item: one bandolier and random selection of grenades. But only for a yazirian with thrown weapons. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

January 1, 2016 - 3:20am | I have a sketch but it won't upload from the phone. I think the yazirian with the broken leg that visited the Minzii marketplace in Big Stick should return and encounter disc grenades and a the bandolier. The original disc grenade was purely the frag variety but there would be smoke and other varieties. These can be detailed. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
January 25, 2016 - 9:24am | Should this be 2 different items: a disk grenade bandolier & an equipment bandolier? The difference being that a disk grenade bandolier would have a +1 IM bonus due to its design facilitating the fast use of a grenade? and the standard equipment bandolier has six pockets that can hold quipment including any style grenade but no IM bonus for using it. one pocket would hold 2 clips, or one grenade, a flashlight or a gasmask and etc. Should there also be a grenade rifle bandolier?  I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
January 25, 2016 - 10:34am | Looking at images of grenade bandoleers on line Here is what i have: 1. disck grenade bandoleer: holds six- disks are broad and they have more utility in that they can be bounced like a zamira so the trade off is that the bandoleer holds less Suggested retail price: 20 Cr 2. standard equipment and or grenade bandolier (call it a std equipment bandoleer to eliminate confussion): 8 pouches- a pouch can hold 2-3 clips, standard thrown grenade, gasmask, or assundry small equipment. Suggested retail price: 20 Cr 3. grenade rifle bandolier: holds 12-15 some models also seem to hold 8-12 shotgun shells so i was thinking 12 grenade capacity and 6 solvaway vials Suggested retail price: 25 Cr  Comments?
