jedion357 February 16, 2015 - 3:09pm | I had never heard of the Cursed polish anti-communists partisans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cursed_soldiers naturally enough I've heard of Japanese Holdouts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_holdout especially since they entered into popular culture in TV and movies. I think Japanese Holdout soldiers are a good model for sathar stranded within the Frontier after the 1st and 2nd sathar wars. Not sure what I would do with the cursed polish soldiers other than "partisans" resisting mega corp control of a planet. sort of tickles me in a warms spot to equate giant corporations with communist. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 February 16, 2015 - 3:27pm | I love this guy, he's so German: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Detzner This guy is not a holdout but simply a misplaced soldier: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishinosuke_Uwano Last Germans soldiers to surrender from WW2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Haudegen German plan to create resistance behind Allied advance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werwolf I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

Imagining the PCs on Laco during the corporate war and the Sathar invade. Now both sides need to band together to stop them and not get paid for it. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
jedion357 February 19, 2015 - 6:31pm | That's a cool story I never read about and I think I'll have to look up the book Here's a better link: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/05/12/world-war-ii-s-strangest-battle-when-americans-and-germans-fought-together.html I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
