First off if you see this movie you will be see places within blocks of my house, the Mobel STation that I occassionally buy gas at, a corner store that I sometimes buy cat food and wine at, bridges I cross almost daily. They filmed lots of stuff I knew intimately and yet I never laid eyes on Denzel Washington while he was here for this.

The Bridge Street Diner in the film is actually a carpet and tile store that was reportedly paid a lot of money to go on vacation so they could turn it into a Diner.

So it was mad cool to see my neighborhood on screen.

My best description of this movie is "Man on Fire" meets "Home Alone"

Without actually naming Home Depot this was a ad poster for it as Denzel took out one bad guy after another not with guns that he could have taken from their dead bodies but with assorted goodies from the hardware store.

My advice is the movie is ok- I perhaps enjoyed it more because I have a bit of a man crush on Denzel and because I loved seeing my hood on the big screen, the action ramps up and is all you expect form an action thrill ride but I also suggest you beware or fools playing equalizer with toys form the local hardware store for awhile.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

A few time I had questions of "why didn't the bad guy do ...  " but it was an OK movie. They took the tough guy walks away from the explosion cliche to a whole new level lol

The wife and I saw it when it came out.  We loved it.

I especially enjoyed how Denzel's character CALMLY kicked ass, taking out major villains as if it were no big deal.  Very nicely done.

I personally liked the final kill in the movie. Very nicely done but there was a tell tale of what was coming.

Yes, I agree.

My wife wanted me to mention again that she really enjoyed it.
