Ship depicted by Elmore on box front

Does anyone know if the ship depicted on the SF box front was written up for KH rules? I've assumed over the years that it's some sort of armed shuttle, but I wonder whether it might be something else. It'd be fun to draw the rest of it Wink

I always assumed it was just an air car.  It's almost too small to be a shuttle.  And the basic shape and details visible matche that of the picture on the aircar chit.

Although looking at the print of the image I have hanging on the wall in my office, there is quite bit of wreckage to the left, maybe a little more than you might expected from an aircar.  However, I'd still go with the aircar theory, but that's my take.

It's an aircar. The debris to the left was blown off of the vehicle. As you can see from the fiery shredded part of the aircar, it exploded outward.

It would be nice to find a picture of an intact Aircar for the SF Wiki. Oh well! For a lack of a better picture. LOL

Here's one, but it's not very big.

Open the aforementioned cover, there's an air car on the first page.

Not the same design, but it's an air car nonetheless.

That how I see an air car, Shadow Shack. The craft on the box cover, however, seems too big to be an air car.

Whay about a life boat? The bundled adventure would suggest that. Side note the bubble hatch reminds one of the book description of a ships launch though these are not outfitted for atmo reentry.

Perhaps being a launch is why it is crashed?

I dont think a launch has the heat shielding for reentry, but I would buy it being a life boat or an air car but... I think in the spirit of the game that it should not be an air car but rather some vehicle that ca,me down from orbit.

If not an aircar howabout an air transport? Yes I know those were not in the original book, only in Zebulon's Guide. But it stands to reason it would have come up eventually anyways, they have ground trucks and hover trucks in the original book do they not?

Why not an air Van or Truck? That way it could be bigger. Or Maybe ... an Air RV.

How about an air truck version of the explorer ground vehicle?

I always assumed it was a launch from Crash on Volturnus...maybe a pretty beefed up one to sell the box set, as a pod like the one we see on Tatooine wouln't make me want to adventure much in 5th grade...hahaha.  My brother and I always thought the people that jumped out of it are the coolest ever.  If I was marooned on Volturnus, yeah, I'd hope they'd be with me...

Cool

One thing is for sure, it was no fun climbing out of that vehicle...those cockpit hand-holds lead past the edge of the cliff.

High cliff or not, there's nothing to plant a foot on when you climb down.

Well like I said, no matter how they got there getting out was a challenge. Cockpit with handholds leading to empty space. Fire behind the cockpit where there is actual solid ground for footing. It was lose/lose either way.

Sounds like typical GM railroading.   Smile

Don't blame the GM. He's just using the module because his work-a-day job limits his time. Remember, those who don't ride the rail go rolling from the train. ;)

I've been reading Darths and Droids and have railroading on the brain right now.  The players in Darths and Droids are constantly derailing the GM's plans and so he railroads them.  They of course call him on it.

Really? Then I guess I have to work on my profundity. O_O

Pro-fun-dity.

That's a funny word. :)
