jedion357 August 7, 2014 - 5:25pm | Took the kids to the library and came across Gerry Anderson's Space Precinct. Got it just because it might have had something interesting to poach for a Star Law adventure. Lots of model work and rubber heads with pupetry going on to make the eyes blink. The model work is about what you'd expect from a Gerry Anderson. The rubber heads are better than what they had on Space 1999 in the latter seasons. The writing is what you'd expect for a kids show, in fact my kids seem to enjoy it. It's better written than Jason of Star Command and some of the props are better than those of Jason of Star Command. It's a little hoaky but and I can see why it didn't get picked up for a second seaons. I think I've actually enjoyed watching it more than the Defiance series which is sitting on the TV stand. There could be a nugget or two in the scripts to use as a RPG adventure. I do like the cop cars which are a combo air car and orbital shuttle. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Malcadon August 8, 2014 - 12:48am | I remember seeing it years ago. While not as exciting as most other sci-fi shows, nor as funny as Red Dwarf, I quit enjoyed it, at the time. |
jedion357 August 8, 2014 - 4:52pm | What amuses me is that my youngest child likes it. So should I bring a Star Law game to the talbe? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
rattraveller August 9, 2014 - 7:29am | Go for it. The show wasn't bad and they did try and keep the aliens under control. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
