The last remnants of the United Planetary Federation have been swept away forever. General Yaz: "But that's impossible, how will the Chancelor maintain control of the Frontier sector without the bureaucracy?" Governor Dorkin: "System governors now have direct control of the planets of the Frontier. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of Space Fleet." What would it take to bring down the UPF and create a sector wide dictator? What would this alternate setting look like? How would you cast the PC's in this setting? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

 June 4, 2014 - 4:46pm | Not much. The UPF is a loose Federation held together by the mutual threat of the Sathar. If individual worlds thought they could do a better job of handling the threat or if the threat went away for some reason, many of the worlds would stop supporting the UPF. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
June 5, 2014 - 4:17am | Candidates to decide they could go alone without the UPF: Hentz (with a greatly expanded militia and a perhaps a plan to conquer all of yazirian space) Any of the human colonies with large militias: White Light, Pale, Theseus The Terledrom militia is large but I dont see the vrusk doing this. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
