The arguement can be made that we are losing/lost the republic with an important first step being direct election of Senators, with that change they really are a glorified representative with generally more "power" than your garden variety representative. Democracy and Republics have had a close association, I'm aware of the distinction but I rather like Churchill's quote none the less. I cant explain why but I just like Betty White, was never a fan of that show but if I had to pick one to be the sole survivor it would be Betty. Loved the Snickers commercial that she did. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
