jedion357 February 25, 2014 - 7:15pm | Discovered this stuff 24 hours ago, pretty cool actually. This is an edit of 4 episodes into a cohesive 2 hour movie since the episodes involved seem to advance the same story line. It had a little too much going on but it did cut the cutsie kids bit from one of the episodes so that was cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLp3tOHmK6E Edit of the BSG 1980 episode "judgement Day" to cut out the crapier parts and make it look like it was part of the first series which was cool. BTW "Judgement Day" was the episode where we see the fate of StarBuck but borrows heavily form a WW2 movie that also inspired Enemy Mine. Unfortunately, a 1 hour BSG episode is perhaps too short to do the character development required by a story that pivots on character development. Still I enjoyed watching this without the crap in it from the latter series which sort of sucked and they did tie up a logical inconsistency from the original Judgement Day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wFNdhGOpGk And there is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpB9NbPNNhE Battlestar 1999 which is somehow and edit of BSG and Space 1999 into one story with some new CGI I have yet to watch it but I'm quite curious. I figure if you played Star Frontiers back in the day then you may have watched BSG and Space 1999 like me. I remember BSG being discuss the day after it aired on the play ground meaning that you absolutely got your homework done wolfed down your dinner and hot footed it to the living room because you just could not stomache being left out of the "water cooler talk" I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 February 27, 2014 - 6:24pm | Alright, BattleStar 1999 was a fairly ingenious edit of a handful of Space 1999 and Battlestar Galactica episodes. I was surprised that the guy who did this pulled it off as well as he did.
