jedion357 September 17, 2013 - 6:51pm | Ok so I've been reading a lot of post from this blogger and well he has good ideas: By carefully scanning and manipulating some pictures of Gary Gygax with maps in clear ascetate this guy may have recovered two levels of the original Castle Greyhawk. You decide but either way he's done a marvelous bit of detective work. http://randomwizard.blogspot.com/2013/07/enhanced-image-of-gary-map.html http://randomwizard.blogspot.com/2013/07/two-levels-of-real-castle-greyhawk.html I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

jedion357 September 18, 2013 - 9:50am | Interestingly, I was reading today and came across a quote in "Life on a Mediaeval Barony by William Stearns Davis. He was discussing how confused the lines of feudal authority were in that some barons considered themselves above dukes and some so. The neat lines of progression listed in most RPG books bear little resemblance to the reality. But to the point concerning Rohan: Dukes we disdain, Kings we can't be, Rohans we are! I rather doubt that Tolkien was ignorant of the Rohans in the above quote based on his professorship and education. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
