Need some input here. As we all know there are a few inconsistencies in Zeb's. One of them I think is this.

Several of the megacorps found and claimed their own planets. Apparently the planetary governments and UPF gave up on staking new claims. Now that they have these planets what are they doing with them. The planetary descriptions give some idea the but I have is that now that they have their own planet not a single one of the megacorps moved their headquarters to their new planet.

What reasons would they not? What are the advantages and disadvantages to moving versus not moving?
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

If its a new start up then the colony might be pretty rough and it might not pamper execs at the level they are acustomed to. It might be that the execs and their families enjoy being engaged in a bigger society then a planet that is strictly one corporate culture. To be sure corporate planets have the facilities to function as a headquarters or at least the plans are there to upgrade them to that point. I think that its just that they became enscounced in their current headquarters and acquiring the planet was just one more acquisition not one intended for the purpose of moving the headquarters but one that was acquired for other specific advantages. Sure with names like Pan Gal amd New Streel you'd think that these are the headquarters of the companies but in reality the systems were just named after the companies that discovered them. For all we know any one of these could be a real shyte hole. I think perhaps we should look at it from the perspective of a real world corporation the acquire all sorts of properties without moving headquarters to the megacorps these are just one more property. Besides Pan Gal would never give up its close relationship with the Council of Worlds and Streel sitting astride the gateway between the Rim and Frontier may not want to leave that and CDC certainly would not relocate to a planet founded with refugees from the Blue Plague-no the city of Triad on Cassidine is far too important of a cultural center for it to move to a planet in the sticks.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!
