clikkclikk October 7, 2012 - 1:21pm | I just would like to ask who would be interested in a session at working days, from about 20h CET (=7 p.m. GMT). I would like to use just the standard rules (official expansion set), maybe even Knight Hawks, but not really custom add-ons (for equipment, we could discuss that). Game online via platform-independent internet solutions such as skype. Since my time is pretty scarce, here is the golden globe question: Is there also anyone interested in leading such a session? w00t (not verified) October 7, 2012 - 9:35pm | 7pm GMT is 2pm EST, which wouldn't be too bad on a Sat/Sun. I would be interested in playing or running during this time, however, all my online activities are via G+ (it's the easiest way to get players, especially last-minute, and you can setup Events to allow people to sign-up/commit). I could use Skype if required. There are a lot of virtual-cons among the social networks (mainly G+). There are always people online to play. My month is booked with Indie+ and publishing Bare Bones Fantasy but I'll be free in Nov/Dec. w00t! |
clikkclikk October 9, 2012 - 12:23pm | Excellent! I think the techology barrier will be easy to take for us ;) While saturdays might be hard, sundays could go well! Nov/Dec soudns fine as well. Ah, I would like to play already (at least a bit) developed characters (not the "level 1-oh look! - blokes), if that is possible. Like the ones in the character list. w00t (not verified) October 9, 2012 - 10:09pm | clikkclikk, do you play AD/KH characters or use another system? How do you like to level them up? (Most GM's say "spend 40xp" or whatever). I use Skilled Frontier and usually give out 4 levels, i.e. you have 4 levels to spend on your PC. You can take four lvl 1 skills, one lvl 4 or any combonation. |
clikkclikk October 12, 2012 - 1:59am | oh, my comment just vanished ... So again: It mainly depends on the character's role and background with me. The character should not best all other characters, but I wouldn't set a fixed amount of XP/levels. Also, I would like to continue with my already played characters and give teh other players a chance to do the same, if those are not overly powerful. A lvl 6 Blaster master can be very entertaining when played properly and with humor, even among lvl 2 blaster/level3 med/level 1 robotics-chars. Yet if you like to set an amount, this is absolutely fine with me. I can see the need to have some fixed orientation with a new player group. I just wouldn't play good old "You Enter A Tavern"-Bob all over and over again. Last game played: Somewhere in the 80th (Vrusk by heart) -- fond of Jugger, a "post-apocalyptic" sport |

clikkclikk November 8, 2012 - 2:22pm | Arrrrgh! *zapZap* med min ... blaster ... blast nej ... I just forgot I just have a wooden club at that stage ... Last game played: Somewhere in the 80th (Vrusk by heart) -- fond of Jugger, a "post-apocalyptic" sport |
clikkclikk July 8, 2013 - 7:06am | Just a quick note, my spaceship is still fine, just no time whatsoever due to family, job and bringing Jugger to Sweden ... But would just like to share my experience: When I twice dropped in to a game we used http://www.roll20.net for floor plans (and some for dice rolling) and mumble or speech. Did the job excellently, I think I can recommend that combination. Last game played: Somewhere in the 80th (Vrusk by heart) -- fond of Jugger, a "post-apocalyptic" sport |
clikkclikk January 15, 2014 - 5:08am | (&/$%$( Second time something gooey form outer space ate my comment. First time after posting. Strange. So NOW I am using TextEdit and copy it into the browser. Eat this. So: We used roll20.net in connection with mumble for speech for some only-online OD&D sessions. Worked nicely! Now I would love to play SF again. Only drawback is that I don't have time to be the gamemaster (as mentioned before, and because of OD&D as well ...) BUT I could throw in at least one other player. How is it? As soon as we find a motivated gamemaster, I could set up a doodle schedule to choose the best date.
