Anonymous September 20, 2012 - 9:32am | Bill's been looking around for parts to build MegaCorp at home and came across this; I know the son unit would love to use these to play (insert various space ship combat games)! I can see using them for fighters and divide them up into each faction by color. :-) |
Shadow Shack September 20, 2012 - 12:16pm | The silver and gold ones inthe center look very sathar-ish. |
w00t (not verified) September 20, 2012 - 1:01pm | Shadow, maybe the toy maker copied your fighter article in SFman. :-) |
Shadow Shack September 20, 2012 - 4:29pm | LOL, nah...none of that looks familiar. But that upper right one looks like the new series Cylon Raider: the top center one reminds me of Boba Fett's Slave 1: and the left/center one looks like IG-88's ship (the IG-2000): |
GJD September 24, 2012 - 5:55pm | I'll try again after my reply was eaten. These are rip-offs of the old ICE Silent Death miniatures. They are 2-3 times larger than the originals and come in horrid bendy plastic. You can still get the originals from EM-4 here in the UK (scroll down): and the metal versions from Metal Express, along with the Silent Death rules: http://www.metal-express.net/ The ships are, L to R by row, (G= gold, S=Silver) Top Row: Teal Hawk (G) Spirit Rider (S), Talon (flying backwards)(G) 2nd Row: Lance Electra (upside down)(S), Salamander (S), Pit Viper (G) 3rd Row: Thunderbird (G), Hellbender (S) Bottom Row: Blizzard (S) and the sublime and deadly Night Hawk (G) with six splatterguns and a meld laser just ready to ruin your day. If you are looking for a good, fun, fast starfighter game I heartily reccomend Silent Death. It's a blast. G. |
