OnceFarOff September 8, 2012 - 2:29pm | Commander Morgan Kyrell. Chief Engineer's Log 09-08-2399: The past twenty-four hours have been a blur. After running a diagnostic on the ship's engines, I've been busy getting my hands into every access hatch I can in an effort to familiarize myself with my new home. I've been reading tech manuals and spec sheets for so long to get ready for this assignment that I can't believe I'm finally here. I'm determined to make Captain Crane judge all future chief engineers by my standard, and to have the best run engineering department in the fleet. Post Script: I can't wait to get out there! |
OnceFarOff September 9, 2012 - 5:26pm | Commander Morgan Kyrell. Chief Engineer's Log 09-09-2399: The colonists arrived in their cryopods today. I heard it went well with the CMO, but didn't do more than hear because I've been getting to know my way around the fusion core. This thing is fantastic. I've been running it through the paces in tests and simulations just to be as familiar as possible if we get into trouble. I can't wait to see this thing in action. Captain sent out a memo that our new Security Chief is a Ganai, and apparently one of the first to graduate from the Academy. He was pretty serious about making history and making it work with non-humans. I love the thought, hope I don't have to set anyone straight in this section. On a personal note, I'd love to get a look at some of those cybernetics first hand. POST SCRIPT - 9-9-99 - this would be a great day to start a mission. But the beaurocrats at Anchorage saw fit to wait two more days to clear our remaining command crew. No sense of style. I'm really looking forward to getting out there... |
OnceFarOff September 11, 2012 - 12:45pm | Commander Morgan Kyrell. Chief Engineer's Log 09-11-2399: I didn't sleep well last night. I'm just too excited about the coming mission. My while life I've dreamed about being involved in something like this. I can't wait to get started. |
