Michael Bauser proposed the following wrote:

_The Warrior's Path_ is an ancient Yazirian religion that holds there is a hierarchal structure to the afterlife, with varying levels of paradise spread around a Worldtree. Those "who follow the warrior's path" believe only in the traditional forms of life-enemies, rivals or opponents that one endevours to destroy. The Warrior's afterlife shows this; the highest level of the Worldtree is for those who destroy their life-enemy. The suceeding levels are (in descending order) for those who die fighting their life-enemies, those who die for other reasons without defeating their life enemies, and for those who never pick a life-enemy. Followers of the Warrior's Path often use archaic melee weapons. Non-Yazirians are allowed in this cult, and many Humans, Hummas, and Saurians have begun to join.

I like the core of his idea. Think it could be developed further possibly.

Thinking about this idea, there is no real "hell" not even the level of the tree for those who never choose a life enemy. Though I suspect that very few, if any, that practice this belief ever end up in that level. Why I would decide that even this level is not hell is because it still organically part of the Worldtree which houses that which certainly qualifies as heaven. I suppose the closest analogy is purgatory. Ultimately there is no downside to this religion, just bragging rights.

A common expression might be, "He has entered the warrior's path," as a reference to a yazirian having just chosen a life enemy. A yazirian may not have had much interest in traditions like this but upon having chosen a life enemy it would be quite natural for him to develop some interest: sort of like an adult human who shows little interest in practicing his religion until suddenly he has kids and begins to go back to mass. I also think someone with a strong commitment to this belief /philosophy will likely memorize and quote the yazirian honor code much like a ferengi quoting the Rules of A.

Looking at this thread again got me thinking about a yazirian hell. Is there such a place in the yazirian consciousness?

I think there could be, for traitors to clan and other heinous sins

Yazirian's boast of their life-enemy - the harder it is to overcome the greater honor and status its brings within the clan and outside the clan. Dieing in pursuit of a hard-to-defeat life-enemy isn't a mark on the clan as long as another clan-member takes up the torch, per sae.

Hell is reserved for those who die without trying and for sins against the clan. They don't have a hell for personal sin (look at the party's they throw!).

It is a great honor to a clan when a member kills a rival clan-member (from another clan) thus denying him/her their pursuit of a life-enemy.

Heaven is reserved for those who succeed, heaven has 11 levels for the 11 original clans.
