jedion357 November 22, 2011 - 7:30am | Just noticed that that the BR products were based on 2nd ed. D&D; for those you that go in for the d20 mechanic you might want to check out: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/25th_Century/?yguid=472324932 http://sites.onlinemac.com/rollem_again/brxxvcpage.htm http://www.pvv.org/~leirbakk/rpg/buckrogers/buckrogers_index_e.html http://www.angelfire.com/games/Alterniverse/dragonstar/dstar1.htm Post other D20 resources to this thread. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Ascent November 23, 2011 - 10:23am | How does the game that replaced Star Frontiers and has no interconnectivity with Star Frontiers help other than being sci-fi? As I understand it, Alternity has more in common with Star Frontiers. Not to knock your excellent links there. View my profile for a list of articles I have written, am writing, will write. jedion357 November 23, 2011 - 11:35am | Point was that even though I detest d20 mechanic, I noticed that this game used 2nd edition D&D mechanics and since there are peeps here who like D&D mechanics and D20, as hard for me as that is to fathom, I thought perhaps they might appreciate the links since they are not using standard SF rules. Also the thread is intended to be a sign board for posting D20 resources. If you have a D20 resource post a link. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

thespiritcoyote November 24, 2011 - 9:22pm | Altho I would love to pick up some old BR books... I expect I would end up rewriting it for Alternity... XD There are three separately distinct Timelines (at least) that BR can be broken into over the entire span of it's exsistance (1920/30's to 2000-sumthin)... where the details of the setting are that internally inconsistent from previous versions to be a compleatly seperate timeline... and then (apparently) there is the 4th BR-RPG Timeline (again with no continuity to previous versions)... still I wouldn't discount the SF resource mining available in that "lump-of-wtf!" ... XD It is what it is, I use what I can... like it, leave it, or lump it in a corner... Good links! some interesting things there! Oh humans!! We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?". ~ anymoose, somewhere on the net... so... if you square a square it becomes a cube... if you square a cube does it become an octoid? |
