Can someone check my numbers?

 d6 Name d6 Difficulty
Number
  d100 d100 Modifier
Legendary  31+ 05% -60
Heroic  26-30 15% -40
 Very Difficult 21-25 30% -30
Difficult  16-20 45% -20
Moderate 11-15 60% -10
Easy  6-10 75% +0
Very Easy 1-5 90% +0

There's a plethora of adventures for d6 we could covert to SF, originally I was going to add this table to the back of an adventure but thought it might serve the community better if I just did all the conversions. :-P

Now for some fun!
  • Automatic (0): Anyone can perform (Even jedioff’s brother, jeidon).
  • Very Easy (1–5): Almost everyone can perform. (Yes this means you!)
  • Easy (6–10): Hey! Even untrained characters can perform (Terlobar, my photorecptors are looking at you)
  • Moderate (11–15): Average characters have a chance of failure to perform. (Lucky I’m smarter than the average bea… character!)
  • Difficult (16–20): Don’t try without experience or lots of luck. (Speaking of Shadow Shack...)
  • Very Difficult (21–25): The talented typically succeed. (The rest just don’t cut the hydraulic oil)
  • Heroic (26–30): Highly experienced characters can perform, most of the time. (Speaking of crew casualties... do the words, “Don’t try this at home.” mean anything to you AZ?)
  • Legendary (31 or more): Warning label simply has a skull and cross-bones. (Success happens all the time in movies, slightly less in RPG’s)

And how do you get more than a 6 on a d6?  I have to admit, I'm not familiar with the system at all so I can't comment on your percentages.Smile

It's based on WEG Star Wars d6, I should have been more clear. Was tired when I posted. Still am. :'(

I too am completely unfamiliar with the system but will add this much:

Legendary (31 or more): Warning label simply has a skull and cross-bones. ("Hold my beer and watch THIS!")
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Reminds me of my aunt telling stories about uncle Richard walking up to her stubbing out his cigarette, and leaving his glasses and dentures with her and that's how she knew there was about to be a fight.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Which obviously predates the modern trend where fights erupt without reason or warning...

Which leads us to Uncle Richard's story about trying to play peace maker and step between two guys and one of the cold cocking him and his glasses went one direction, his dentures another and his cigarette a third. This lead directly to his practice of taking out or off said dentures and glasses since after that there wasn't much left for you to break.

w00t - are you looking for strict numeric conversions?  I think that you don't have enough information for me to answer.  For instance, characters in SWd6 had scores such as 2d6+2, 3d6, etc.  Therefore, you'd have to provide the score you're using for numeric conversion - then it's MAYBE possible.  Straight numeric conversion wouldn't be easy anyway, since SWd6 had exploding dice.  Also, since SWd6 had "force points" that could be spent to double the character's score for one turn.  That allowed even an average 2d6 score to have the potential to pull off a very difficult action.

If you're just looking for an opinion-based conversion... where you put in values which just feel right, then you're on the right track in your d100 column.  However, in your d100 Modifier column, I'd say you would need to make the modifiers based off the values you gave in the d100 column.  For instance, if the "Very Easy" row is 15% easier than the "Easy" row (shown by the 75% - 90% scores you gave) then you should make the Very Easy d100 modifier +15.  Do that for all rows, and then you have a believable conversion.
