Purports to be an authoritative guide based on secret government reports however, every intel officer or executive government official who is questioned concerning the book's accuracy invariably says "No comment. " and one admiral said it once with the barest hint of a smirk. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 August 1, 2011 - 3:02pm | Avenging Vrusk by William Smith - a series of pulp novels following the adventures of Zizzick a two pistol wielding vrusk vigilante who, in the early novels sought revenge for the deaths of family, friends and lover during the Free World Rebellion in Maderly's Star but latter novels recast him as an avenger of any race of being who persecuted or cheated. The last few novels pitted him against mega corps, principly Streel and PGC. The dialog, attitudes, outlook, and behavior of Zizzick comes across as characteristic of humans. Humans who have studied vrusk society are the most strident critics, while vrusk usually present a semi amused reaction without really commenting on it. Dralasites who read and enjoy it are apt to quote favorite lines from it expecting their audience to get the obscure reference and typically laugh when people don't. Titles in the series: Avenging Vrusk, AV-Zizzick on Zidickick, AV-Steal Vrusk, AV-On Death Ground, AV-Killing Time, there are over two dozen titles in this series I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
