I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

1. One planet needs to have had a significant militia organization or even a Land Fleet base so that there is tempting military hardware to be recovered. or one planet with a significant militia and another with a Land Fleet base

2. One planet needs an abandoned space station that could be explored- in the end of that adventure the station will likely be shot out of space by Space Fleet. Hey big explosions make for good endings.

3. need a sathar tie in somewhere.

4. Family of One is keeping a secret on Beta. Not sure what that is cause its still a secret- have to wait till I channel my yazirian avatar and he might be able to tell me what it is. PCs lifting off of Beta will be shot at by space fleet and chased by Inquisitors from the Family of One.

5. Hurricane crops up during the adventure- just to complicate the PC's lives

Encounters:
A. survivors who want off

B. rich potential client who wants something left on a planet

C. gun dealer who wants a weapon system form item number 1 above.

D. Star Law agent is suspicious of the PCs and hasseling them -his accompliss plants a tracker on their ship. is he really a star law agent or a poser- perhaps hes a pirate/ fellow salvager and plans to let the PCs do the dirty work.

E. Qucikdeaths- where did they come from?????

Themes for the campaign setting

Justice

corruption,greed and mega corps

sathar plot against the UPF

emerging mentalism powers and other mutations

There is a rich background from the GammaWorld game. As long as you let go of some of the more cartoony elements.

I remember a forum from a while ago were W00T and I were talking about Gamma world being the original (read most inhabited) worlds of the Dralastites, Humans, and Vrusk. I used them that way in one of my campaigns...It helped me answer the constant "but were do the core four come from?" question.

In that campaign it was a Sather nanobot infection that had to be quarantined. the nanobot element also helped explain the mutations as the crew I was playing with knew radiation alone would not produce such useful mutations.

I will have to dig that stuff up...now were did I put it?.......Undecided

Not every dies from a plague, even the Black Death had survivors SOOOO what are the survivors like?

1)Zombies lots and lots of zombies.

2)Reavers who can't leave the planet and really want to (why Space Fleet blows up ships who land there)

3) Psychics---The whole glowing eyes and we are the next level of humanity/dralasite/vrusk/yazirian/vimh

4) Walking vaccines, since those who it did not kill could be used to develop serums and protections from the plague. These people would be very important to medical research corporations. (Watch the BBC series Survivors on Netflix for more on this)

5) Kids---the plagure killed all the adults and now bands of children rule the planet. This could go either Lord of the Flies or Jeremiah you pick
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

I am thinking a human world, well established with Terra life would be perfect to turn into a Gamma World like enviroment.
