thespiritcoyote May 14, 2011 - 2:16pm | I have had some problems figuring out how to get animations uploaded to this site, doesn't seem any moving file-type is supported, but I'll see what I can do as I get a new idea to try. Offering a couple rotation and fly-around views of Port Royal and Port Loren maps was the idea behind this project. I did this one first, as a test of concept, because it was the smallest map available, and offered some parts and techniques that would be useful on the Port Loren maps. Eventually I will try to fill the whole greater area of Port Loren, as shown in concept form, located in the Port Loren Library as: Port Loren - Large Scale Overview, Ver: (Undefined/Pre-Beta). As well as an expanded Port Royal, based on maps I have not yet adjusted for release. Concepts expressed in the Topics: Architectures - Human Architectures - Vrusk Architectures - Dralasite Architectures - Yazerian will be used for the buildings, as well as discussions from a few other locations. Oh, and I did do a small render of a couple Noir style conceptual of the hotel and archaeology complex, as viewed from the park, with the SFman in mind, as I was finishing for this release. I am not completely satisfied with the details on this model yet tho'. A few niggling little space issues, have caused me to need to up the standard meters per square a bit from the base map, so that two way streets fit the inner-city vehicles, and the sky-walks do not block traffic. A couple smaller buildings need to be taken down and rebuilt. Finally I won't really be satisfied, until I get a panorama from the center of the park, which will require eight more maps this size. The representation of the basic architecture as extrapolated from the boxed maps, is visible here, and that made it something to post. Not many examples of that in any of the old artworks, if anyone spots some, point it out to me, please. Oh humans!! We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?". ~ anymoose, somewhere on the net... so... if you square a square it becomes a cube... if you square a cube does it become an octoid? |
