 March 12, 2011 - 6:15am | As a wild suggestion everyone should troop on over to Drivethrugames and look under the FREE STUFF tab. There you will find a miniatures game called Salvage Crew Star Mogul. Order it (Its FREE so no excuses.) The premise is that the outer colonies were all wiped out by a plague. The inner planets took so hits but are generally OK. Now that the virus has apparently died out or only immune people are left, there are all these empty planets full of abandoned stuff just waiting for people to come and get. Oh did I mention that they had found relics from an ancient advanced alien race on the outer colonies? Lots of good stuff to find. You are a Star Mogul, you put together a Salvage Crew of 10 to 20 people and robots and maybe some vehicles and fly out to the outer colonies to make a fortune salvaging things. Problem is there are other Salvage Crews doing the same thing so the occasional firefight breaks out. If only we knew of another game with long dead alien races and plague devastated planets just waiting to be looted. Only a game where not only independent Salvage Crews were operating but Corporate sponsored crews and some kind of Star Law organization to stop the madness with possible space battles over getting to and from the devastated worlds. Maybe I am just to big a fan of FREE STUFF but I see a project in the making here. To busy to do it myself but did I mention the rules were FREE if anyone was interested.
