Word of Caution ......

I'd like to advise caution on creating new documents for a few of reasons.

I wanted to get everyone interested to post and chat out the particular issues involved with a 2.0 KHs in the forum and look for a concensus to form before setting down the documents.
What is important here is a product with community imput. This means, that while I'm opinionated about certain areas I intend to puss things in the direction of what seems to be the general mind set of the community, or at least the involved community.

I started the doc page on scale simply because the issue of what an ADF actually is comes up and it didn't seem to be worth perpetuating that into 2.0. Making 1ADF 1g and scaling the hex size down to fit that just made sense.

This is not to dump on anyone creating new document pages- just the word of caution that we should talk out each issue and when a general concensus forms around an idea we write that into the "rule book" as it were. There has been a lot of activity on this project since its inception and that says people care about it. I would like to see it be a true collaborative effort.

I appologize for not stipulating the above in the front page of the project- that was my bad.

Sorry if I jumped the gun.  I just figured it would be good to get things written down.  I believe that anyone can edit and that was the idea.  Start putting things out there and then as we discuss ideas, edit the documents to reflect the decisions.  I can pull them off if you want, I just wanted to get a framework out there.

I'm ok with the documents and like Jedion's method of bashing in the forum then compiling in the doc.  But that will be iterative as was seen in the Zeb's project.  Hence the need to mark new text between changes to make the catch up reading easy.

In Zebs I generally wait till we get some ideas coming together then through paint on canvas in the docs. I just thought that it was premature yet to make docs, yes they can be edited but like Iggy pointed out you get the problem of following the changes- in the forums its easy to follow the conversation as you more or less remember whats been said and just scan down to your last post and read from there.

Its really my fault as I didn't lay down any ground rules when starting this project.

the docs and stay and be updated but I'd like to see talk and bashing out in the forums- the give and take that went down in the Zebs project was very good and led to better material

We're starting to get some good ideas put together on mass and volume construction and I'd like to see that matured some- get the basic ideas out there from everyone and strike a balance between hard edged space opra style and fun playable game which seems to be the two poles emerging- then lets find a middle ground that everyone can live with.

Next build a document and review it and then move to the next area (which will no doubt already have been talked out at the same time and find the middle ground and push out a doc).
