Georgie February 3, 2011 - 12:05pm | Dude, get transferred to Fort Drum, NY. Four inches of snow there is considered a flurry. We once had a storm of lake effect snow that dumped 16 inches in 18 hours and nothing closed. The only weather event that pulled us out of the field was a wind chill of -70. The joke at Fort Drum is that that's where they send Alaska troops for winter training. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of

Will the Stampede February 3, 2011 - 4:17pm | Figured the 10th Mountain Division would find that weather ideal. I'm still looking at ten inches of snow dumped on my little slice of Oklahoma Tuesday, and it may not start melting til Saturday. I had to go out in it to go to work, got stuck in the damn parking lot when they finally decided to let us go home, maintenance was pulling cars out one by one with their tractor. I spent today and yesterday hunkered down in the house, under a triple layer of homemade blankets, eating soup and hot coffee for dinner. What gets me is the idiots who knew it was blizzarding out here(Tulsa was worse, 14.5" of snow, the most for them ever)and they decided to go out shopping...and then they whined about getting stuck in said double-digit snowfall even their precious supermarket assault vehicles couldn't dig them out of. " 'Beware the Beast, Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, for lust, for greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death." |
jedion357 February 3, 2011 - 6:10pm | I remember Alaska as a kid- -70 below; and we never stayed home from school till it was -30 below It was fun. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
dmoffett February 3, 2011 - 7:00pm | Back to work Tommoro and we will be working Saturday to make up for the lost time. The bombing starts in five minutes. |
Georgie February 3, 2011 - 8:29pm | Figured the 10th Mountain Division would find that weather ideal. I liked it. Strangely, Ft. Drum is incredibly short on mountains. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of

Sargonarhes February 5, 2011 - 3:00pm | 4 inches is nothing here, unless it's wet then it's slick. North shore of Pennsylvania, a few years ago we got hit with an after April Fools day joke of 30 inches of show in 20 hours. The actual snow belt is just south of the lake shore inland. Right now we've got about 24 inches and now it's packed in with a layer of ice from sleet and freezing rain in it. This is normal for us. Makes you want to grab any one crying global warming and soak their head in a toilet. In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same. |
Shadow Shack February 5, 2011 - 2:48pm | According to the groundhog legend, we have six more weeks of this miserable high 60s/low 70s winter weather to look forward to |
SFAndroid February 8, 2011 - 2:15pm | Makes you want to grab any one crying global warming and soak their head in a toilet. The Global Warming nuts are trying to say that the "bad gases" are holding in the cold, so, that's why the winters are so bad. You can't argue with the invincibly ignorant. - William F. Buckley |
Shadow Shack February 8, 2011 - 2:20pm | The only bad gas is the crap emitting from their constantly open pie holes. |
