Refer to: MRX-8.

for this vehicle to be usable by more than just a house rules campaign you need to do a
few things
1. change the LC to PL as an LC requires a HS5 ship
2. make it 3-4 berths as any cannon ship requires 3 minimum space ship skills to operate and
having 4 berths gives you just enough flexibility for an RPG group to use it.
3. RH is not optional- all ships automatically get it- there isn't even a table to roll on for KHs damage for no RH
4. you should list WNB on its equipment list with radar since the description states jamming equipment or describe the prototype jamming equipment.
3. whats stated up here is a heavy shuttle but the description is a scout ship so I'd recommend detailing a little bit more cabin space and firmly place this in the classification of a small runabout type ship moving it away from heavy shuttle (no real change in stats just how its described and how it willl be used in game)
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Actually there is.  It's the None column (the first one on the advanced damage table).  At least it is there in the original rules.

my bad but why would anyone build a ship without the barest level of defense

Have you guys never worked in the corporate world? The reason for no reflective hull is to save money. The vast majority of haulers, freight or passanger, will be built as cheaply as possible in order to maximize the return on the investment.

Like the Trans Strata (also being discussed inthe forum section here), this is yet another ship for the Historic Adventure project I'm working on (see the avatar in my sig, you can click it to get to that project).

Since this game predates the UPF and Pod Laser...I'm ruling (in that project) a variant laser cannon available in three trims, mark one through mark three, with each one gaining more range and damage with the bigger guns obviously meant for bigger ships. The MK-1 is a four hex range/d10 weapon system and can fit on a HS:1 ship, which is how that should read (I'll have to edit all that when I get the rest of the stuff posted in that document). But for a modern game, yes that would be a PL.

Like the Trans Strata, this is another system ship. As such, a pilot and engineer is the basic crew, with the pilot's minimal computer proficiency being used as dual duty "navigator" for insystem operation.

Again, the sheet will need updating as I finish it, complete with maximum velocity for fuel accomodation and such (I'm permitting additional ADF for more drives and such, but with limited fuel you can only do so for so long as you need the same amount of fuel to stop on the other leg of the trip, hence max safe velocity).

As was already discussed, it's an option available to the buyer. When I hammer out the completed sheet it will have a base purchase price, less any options.

Yep, that will have to be listed as optional equipment in the final sheet. Thanks for pointing it out.

KH campaign book mentions scientific/research system ships, albeit starting out at HS:3 --- I'm simply going one size smaller on this premise, the ship is initially a prospecting vessel but gets pressed into scouting missions so it gets rebadged as a scout. Again, more filler for the final sheet...thanks again for pointing it out.

I probably should add "work in progress" to the page LOL
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out
