This table show the average lifespans assuming they are in galactic standard years (GSY) of 400, 20 hours days as defined in Alpha Dawn. Second column converts GSY to Earth years. The third columns then converts this further to an Earth equivalent life span based off of an 85 year average Earth Human lifespan. The other races are assumed to be proportional to that 85 years for simplicity sake. My question is how does everyone view the lifespans in the game? Are they based on GSY or Earth years? -iggy |
Shadow Shack December 6, 2010 - 2:56pm | I always go by GST in SF, and that applies to the lifespans. While it was never really defined, I split my GST years up into ten 40 day months. KH books have months as thirty days (as mentioned in construction time), and that just doesn't add up neatly for a 20 hour/400 day year. |
Will the Stampede December 6, 2010 - 9:48pm | I go with GST as well. I think the KH writers just got confused as to which dating system they were using. " 'Beware the Beast, Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, for lust, for greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death." |
