jedion357 August 31, 2010 - 7:16am | Funny how You use to dread summer's end as a kid and now you cant wait to send the kids to school! I'm so looking forward to getting the kids to school in about a week and getting the schedule settled and getting back to consistent on line gaming and writing for the SFMan- comments from w00t not required. Jedion I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
TerlObar August 31, 2010 - 8:44am | I couldn't agree more. My kids started last week and it's been nice. My wife started teaching yesterday and now we're just waiting for the dust to settle and the schedule to work itself out. Ad Astra Per Ardua! w00t (not verified) August 31, 2010 - 12:13pm | Errr... I thought you's were going to say fall/winter is coming so we can start playing online. |
TerlObar August 31, 2010 - 1:06pm | I think that is implicit, w00t. I'm hoping to start my PBP game back up here in the next week or so. Then we can see about some live gaming. Ad Astra Per Ardua! LanWarder August 31, 2010 - 5:00pm | Thank the almighty for school.... My wifes sanity has been sowly returning since the boys went back.... wooohooo not married to an angry harpy anymore... Death is lighter than a feather Duty is heavier than a mountain |
Georgie August 31, 2010 - 7:46pm | My kids are tween+, they pretty much take care of themselves now so the season makes no difference. Make that the Climatic Season makes no difference. Fall soccer has started so I'm actually busier now then I was during the summer. :/ Meanwhile, Malcom rolls a 4 for his skill check to remove the freeze field from Obar Enterprises, operation successful! Also, a 77 for administering a Stimdose to the GM *cough* Terl *cough*. ;) I should be able to continue Friday Night Remote Gaming - as a player. I have nothing prepared to GM. BTW w00t, I've read up on MapTool, it seems very easy to use. We should give it a try. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of

w00t (not verified) August 31, 2010 - 7:57pm | Cool! I think we'll wait for Tom V. to get over his sabbatical and decided to join us or die. Errr.. play PbP or online. |
iggy September 1, 2010 - 8:06am | I can't commit to a regular game night, but I'd love to join in on a maptool session. I've been studying it as well and want to try it out with a group across the net. Now, maybe I could do a reoccurring character, the nosey reporter dogging the character maybe. Or a bounty hunter that crosses the characters path now and then. Or the guy the party runs into now and then and happens to be useful for some things. Or, the annoying villain that wants to take over the universe and the party always foils him. Of course no one in the universe but the party is even remotely aware or threatened by him. This way I could appear and disappear from time to time. -iggy |
TerlObar September 1, 2010 - 8:47am | I can't commit to a regular online game night either at the moment but If I manage to start up my live game again, it is specifically designed around players dropping in and out. The idea is that if you're there, you go on that night's adventure and if not your character sits out. Ad Astra Per Ardua! w00t (not verified) September 1, 2010 - 12:39pm | iggy, You are on to something! |
w00t (not verified) September 1, 2010 - 12:40pm | Tom, Are you considering handing the reigns to another Referee to take the days you can't make it? |
TerlObar September 1, 2010 - 2:49pm | @w00t: Or on days I want to play instead of Ref. There is no reason why anyone can't create an adventure and run a session. The idea is that they are small missions for the MercCo team. Anyone can write one up and they don't have to be connected. It's a mercenary outfit that hires out for whatever job is available. I just started something last year in an attempt to get the ball rolling and then if fell flat. Ad Astra Per Ardua! w00t (not verified) September 1, 2010 - 6:36pm | I guess we should find a way to get a player count. Last time we did a poll ppl were interested but fizzled out. I think due to spring season. jedion357 and I were the only ones showing up for 3-4 weeks. |
iggy September 2, 2010 - 8:48am | You are on to something! I really want to try out maptool across the net. As the evenings get darker sooner I will find more free Friday and Saturday evenings. I have the voltrunus campaign going with my kids now and I will give them priority but a chance now and then to be a player and not a referee would be great. The net is the only player option I see right now. -iggy |
TerlObar September 2, 2010 - 12:17pm | @iggy - My kids are going through the Volturnus adventure as well but we rarely get to play. Maybe you should haul your kids down here and we and we can have a big SF party . Ad Astra Per Ardua! iggy September 2, 2010 - 12:51pm | My kids are just about to crash on Voltrunus. Where are your kids ? -iggy |
TerlObar September 2, 2010 - 1:50pm | Last time we played they crossed the Lake of Fire in the caves. Ad Astra Per Ardua!
