Thanks for mentioning about my idea for a Southwest Con in Vegas. I hadnt forgotten about it but this year has not been kind to me financially so I have had to put the project on hold for now but it may be possible to pull it off in 2010.

As always the pod cast is a super cool supplement.

Is anyone reading any of my supplements over at FS? I have posted a starship tech manual and the first part of the Dark Tempest Time line. I know everyone's busy but the feed back gives me a clue on which projects to use my time on and which ones to not.

Cool episode Terl. Thanks again for putting out a SF podcast.
It is cool to actually hear people that have been on the forums.

At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy......

After nearly a year's hiatus, I'm going to try to start this back up again.  Anybody interested in being on the podcast, drop me a line (either e-mail or PM).  If you are available Thrusday or Friday night this week (Aug 19 or 20), I'm free both evenings and we could do the episode then.  Otherwise we'll have to schedule a time.

All you need is a skype account so that we can set up a call.

I love the pod cast! Hope you continue the podcasts. I'm not sure what I would have to offer for the podcast that people want to hear but I definitely don'f mind helping anyway I can

I think we should get a bunch of fella's on skype and make fun of Bill. Then send an email to him with the podcast link.

Foot in mouth

What about interviewing our wives?
"How has Star Frontiers effected your marriage?"

Better yet... WHAT do listeners *want* to hear? (I don't listen to enough podcast to answer)

I think established segments is an excellent idea. A really good Podcast to listen to is the Order 66 - a cast dedicated to Wizards' Star Wars SAGA rpg. They have regular sections that can inspire game content. For example, Watto's Bargain Basement where they discuss an item of equipment and how it can benefit you from both a narrative and mechanical point of view. Postcards from Commander Cody that give an outline of a planet and it's population and cultures. That sort of thing. They also discuss various skills and talents and how they can be a benefit and how they can be played in a game. They give advice on creating interesting and exciting encounters and much more. One thing I don't advise that you copy is their 3 hour running time. I agree with previous posters. Keep it short and sweet. I personally like my podcasts around an hour in length but if most folks want shorter then go with that. I wouldn't advise going over that, though.
Another cast by the same folks called Radio Free Hommlet follows a similar structure for D&D4.

I think that seperate sections that discuss the worlds, races, equipment, ships, rules, classes etc etc would be excellent.

Another podcast I listen to regularly is Star Wars Action news (a cast about collecting Star Wars memorabilia) and they do an 'enhanced' podcast which includes images of the items they are discussing timed to appear at the appropriate moment. This might be cute, but will result in larger podcast files, however.

I'd absolutely love to be involved in this but I've not played Star Frontiers since about 1986 and don't know enough about it to comment knowledgeably. I also live in the UK so I'd be up awfully late :(
