TerlObar October 31, 2008 - 10:14am | Layout format, not digital format. It will be in PDF but there has been some suggestion to make it oriented landscape instead of portrait. Ad Astra Per Ardua! umungus November 1, 2008 - 7:28pm | I like to put them in those 8.5 X 11 plastic report covers and three hole punch it. I don't think landscape would work very well for that. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
Ascent November 2, 2008 - 8:30am | Is there some reason given for suggesting the change from portrait to landscape? Is it because Dragon/Dungeon magazines are doing it? It's a flop format, as far as "online" goes, for me personally. I still have to scroll down every page, because I have to view it at 100% to read it well. Corvus November 2, 2008 - 1:16pm | I think even considering switching to landscape view indicates an unspoken assumption by at least a few individuals that many of us have large widescreen monitors. I have a 4x3 17" monitor at 1024x768 resolution, and as far as I have been able to tell, that is still the most common monitor size and res in use today. That alone puts this question to bed, for me at the very least. Between that and the number of people who actually print the mag out to read it, I think keeping it as-is is the way to go. CleanCutRogue November 23, 2008 - 11:31pm | My opinion: 8 1/2 x 11 as normal, portrait as normal. It's just more convenient, that's all. When I have rulebooks spread out and stuff, it's convenient for the sizes to roughly match and the orientation to be consistent. 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our
