Anonymous October 22, 2008 - 9:31am | Refer to: Chits for building your own deck plans. What type of chits? Doors Console Tables ?? |
TerlObar October 22, 2008 - 10:05am | Any and all of the above. I need to post mine (beds, workpod, stove, sink, etc from my OE game ships). Ad Astra Per Ardua! w00t (not verified) October 22, 2008 - 10:17am | We need a standard size of the chits and a standard deck plan, right? Here is a 20x20 deck. Each square is 20x20 pixels. |
TerlObar October 22, 2008 - 10:53am | I've actually been using (as was suggested by someone else, don't remember who at the moment) a higher resolution, namely 50 pixels per meter. I've been making all mine to that scale. Ad Astra Per Ardua! Rum Rogue October 22, 2008 - 3:39pm | Dungeon Crafter 1 uses 20x20 pixel tiles/chits as a base setting. Time flies when your having rum. Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time. |
w00t (not verified) April 22, 2009 - 10:15am | Tom, Did you post your chits? ------------------------ We have a few projects that could be combined or at least referenced to; The Chit Factory <----> Ships of the Frontier (Build a reference between the two projects) Ships of the Frontier <------> Online Ship Generator (I propose we move all the documents/ships from my project to yours and remove my project.) Thoughts? |
w00t (not verified) April 22, 2009 - 10:17am | Also.... Should we continue to use squares or switch to hexes? In my opinion squares seem "boxy" when building deck plans. I feel that I have to fit something inside a square and line it up whereas hexagons would allow me to rotate an object freely. ....might just me be.... |

Personnally I prefer square grids but there is much to be said for hex grids as well. I'm a math oriented kind of guy and think better in cartesian grids rather than honeycombs. I don't see the grid as a limiting factor in the layout. In fact, when I make my deck plans, I don't add in the grid until everything else is laid out. I see it as simply a reference for moving your pieces on the map. Ad Astra Per Ardua!
