 September 18, 2008 - 5:29am | Hello, welcome to this project. Many moons ago, a similar project was put together which unfortunatley ended badly. There is still a scope for a wqargame for land battles in the Star Frontier Universe and this is what this is about. What I need to do now is to flesh out the Campaigns, battles, vehicles used, etc. If anyone can recommend any well known documented battles - from offical sources, ortheir own campaigns:- so long as it can create a good imagery for this project. This site has had a bit of a rocky period recently, its time to get past this! Look forward to hearing from you. |
 September 18, 2008 - 2:18pm | This is what I was wanting to do with the Second Sather War project. My group have been seting up battles in SF for over 20 years. We have six major classes of Battle ships. We run our battles through Yahoo chat. Although, we haven't run a battle for over two months now. It seems that SF is getting dusty. It started off good, I guess. |

In the process of putting together a Landfleet Army List, Sathar Attack Force, a militia/ government defensive force and Pirate/ Reiver List. Names are not concrete (Apart from Landfleet) and I'll put out a provisional list shortly. Also, what is the general opinion about die rolling. Are all in favour of D6 or D10? let me know Lastly, I've been trying to track down suitable figures to represent the sathar in 1/300 or 6mm scale, but found nothing yet. Does anyone know of any? If it comes down to it, i'll dig out my green stuff and make some resin casts, but that will entail a lot of work. Appreciate any help there. Right! Of to start inputing my Army Lists. |

October 8, 2008 - 1:56pm | d6 vs d10 it was actually to convcert the whole system to d10 (originally written in d6), this would take a bit of work, the majority I've done, but it's to give people the choice. thx for the input for figures; some I've seen. I might use these at a pinch, but methinks its time to get the green stuff out! Hope it hasn't hardened too much! |
