    UPDATED SECTOR 2: RACES

    Issue Number:
    179
    Severity:
    Minor
    Description:
I created major updates to Sector 2.  Please see the updates below.

    SECTOR 2: RACES

The Frontier contains a wide variety of sentient species, some of which have achieved faster than light space travel.

The eleven major space faring races of the Frontier available to Players are described below.  The choice of player character available races is divided by major Frontier time period, the Sathar Wars I era and the Sathar Wars II era.  Players and the Referee can choose to play Dralasite, Human, Vrusk, Yazirian, or Sathar characters from the Sathar Wars I era, or Zuraqqor, Humma, Ifshnit, Mechanon, Osakar, S'sessu characters from the Sathar Wars II era.

    REFEREE'S NOTE
Normally it is recommended that the Sathar and their allies the Zuraqqor be played as NPCs only.

The galaxy is enormous and so long as there is a Frontier with new territory to explore, new races will be discovered.  Referees and players are free to add races to the pool of available player character races as they see fit.

    REFEREE'S NOTE
When adding player character races the Referee should be sure consider any game and or campaign play balance issues.

    Choose Your Characters Race

Your character's race may have a bearing on how he or she develops as well as how you roleplay your character.  Be sure to choose a race that you will feel comfortable roleplaying according to the race's description defined in the following pages.

A group of players may choose the same race for all of their characters.  However, groups with characters from several different races tend to be more successful and more fun to play.

After you have determined your character's ability scores, choose your race and add any relevant racial modifiers to your character's abilities as defined in Sector 1: Abilities.

I have applied some of your suggested wording changes and paragraph orders, and added the second Referee's note.

Thanks for your input. Keep it coming. Also, I need to know what name to credit for your editing. If you are looking to provide edits for the entire volume, I'll be crediting you as an editor. It's good to get more names under those types of credits. Smile
