Corjay (not verified) February 3, 2008 - 3:20pm | That's the one. Give me rough drafts for the ships and space station. Or do you want people to get creative? |
Sergeant February 4, 2008 - 1:42pm | The problem is, I don't have a clue how to make a map. Sergeant |
w00t (not verified) February 4, 2008 - 2:32pm | The problem is, I don't have a clue how to make a map. What kind of map are you looking for? |
Corjay (not verified) February 4, 2008 - 2:58pm | The point to a rough draft is that it does not have to be anything like the finished product. I don't need a map necessarily, as much as a rough sketch of what the ship looks like along with a scale. I'll do the rest. Unless you want me to make what the ship looks like as well. I can do that too. |
Sergeant February 4, 2008 - 4:23pm | Let me think up some details and we will see what happens. Thanks for the help. Sergeant |
Sergeant February 9, 2008 - 9:21pm | Corjay-- Let us start with the HS 20 freighter. No map as of yet. Let us start. If you want to run with it--GO AHEAD. My thinking---I thought of using the maps from the back side of the FDM (White Light) and increase the size of the ship. Not sure how far that will go. Any ideas for a hull size 20 freighter? Sergeant February 12, 2008 - 6:11pm | HS 20 Freighter from the front of the ship...Here are my thoughts. Deck One-Weapons Control--Computer banks with four chairs for the LC, LB, RB, and ICM operators. Deck Two-Upper Bridge--Computer banks and three chairs for Pilot, Co-pilot, and one Enigeneer. Deck Three-Lower Bridge--Computer banks and three chairs. Two chairs for both Astrogators and a spare chair for piloting as a back up. Deck Four-Upper Crew Deck--Private crew quarters for Captain, Co-pilot, Medic. Both astrogator's share a room. Deck also contains small Medic's Bay with three beds. Deck has small life boat for six people. Deck Five-Lower Crew Deck--Private crew quarters for the wepaons specialists plus four small quarters for passengers single bunked. One large room for passengers double bunked. Deck has a life boat with room for 10 passengers. Possible change having an upper and lower maintenance deck. Upper deck before the forward cargo hold and the lower deck behind the aft cargo hold. Both decks would support a cargo crane to decrease load and unload time. Engineer crew quarters would be located in the upper maintenance deck while work-pods and engine maintenance would go on in the lower maintenance deck at the aft of the ship. Sergeant |
Corjay (not verified) February 15, 2008 - 2:06pm | What are its stats? Did you want me to make the stats as well? I can't guarantee I'd do that part very well. What will be the freighter's major cargo? (Not just what is listed in the module, but the kind of cargo it generally tries to pass off. For instance, the Trummineer has cargo of iron ore and transports passengers. What class are the passengers? What quality is the ore? Is ore its usual cargo, or is it part of a particular class of cargo carried?) Is it a tramp, a military freighter, or a corporate freighter? Was it converted from one type into another type? In fact, I'll need that kind of information on all the ships. |
Sergeant February 15, 2008 - 6:36pm | I think I get what you are asking. Manifest for the freighter--Normal shipping routes, where had the been, and cargo carried. Kind of what Dramune Run had for the Gullwind. Should not be difficult to make. I want his freighter as a tramp type going out and finding cargo to move and make profit (any way it can). I will start working on a ship background. Sergeant |
