Ronin November 8, 2007 - 4:13pm | How do you mean? Its alphabetical now. Should we try to group weapons, vehicles, and equipment into different sections? You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye. |
Corjay (not verified) November 8, 2007 - 6:28pm | Unless there are plans to do whole page write-ups on each piece of equipment, it's too specific. Basically, how many RAFLUR M-0 Proton Swords are planned? It sounds pretty specific to me. How many Zik-kit Ordinance Industries "Tiger-Hawk" Hover Tanks are planned? Again, pretty specific. Shouldn't the sword just be on a melee weapons page, or the tank on a general Tanks page? |

Wow I totally disagree. As for how many are planned. Thats seems like a silly notion. To make everything bland, and just "a car", "a rifle", or "a tank". Thats really boring to me. If I was a character and was offered "a rifle" or an M41-1 Pulse RIfle. I'm taking the pulse rifle every time. Doesnt matter that the stats are the same. Its the flavor it provides. Back to the planned thing. The characters in my game have encountered two of these tanks. Face to face. Then seen mutliple ones engaged in combat. (Which in their position in the game they wisely avoided.) Besides need a hover tank for a senario yor running check the list. Dont like the name change it. Dont like the weapons mounts change it. I'm not saying if you use a hover tank it has to be one of these. Its just something I made up for my campaign that I'm sharing. This isnt a bible (or insert your religious book of choice) that has to be followed to the letter. Mechanical gaming crunch is fine. But its so much better with the flavor of fluff. You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye. |
Corjay (not verified) November 9, 2007 - 10:28am | No problem. I just thought it would be good that when a person wants a tank they could choose from a list of tanks. Or when they want a rifle, or at least a type of proton beam weapon, they can choose from a list of such type weapons. The current setup requires that the reader already know what they're looking for, company name and all. |

Perhaps thats something I can work on this week end. Sorry if was a little aggresive before. Sometimes I kind of slip into attack mode. Gergmaster November 9, 2007 - 12:27pm | When the whole guide is done compiling (in a few months) I think that I am going to release a download for the community that is more organized and I hope a lot bigger than it is now. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
