Gergmaster November 6, 2007 - 11:53am | Should we give the options for the ancient races being possible PC character races? Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
SmootRK November 6, 2007 - 12:46pm | It all depends on whether the race is written in a balanced manner. If the race is written with obvious overpowering stats/abilities/or special considerations (whether technology, resources, or other campaign aspects), like Mechanons in the Zeb's book, then the race will obviously be off-limits in most Referee's campaigns. If the race is produced in a balanced way, much like how I have tried to craft races that I have produced in the Star Frontiersman (including the Eorna which should appear in the SFMan #8), then I see no reason to exclude them.... especially when they fit so neatly into existing campaign cannon material. <insert witty comment here> |
