Anonymous November 5, 2007 - 11:14pm | Refer to: CLASSES AND SKILLS. It's fairly clear the chasm of difference between Star Frontiers skills and d20 skills and classing. d20 is far more complicated. This discussion is to consider what needs to be done in this regard. The d20 Future game has the following skills (I don't have the d20 Modern game, so someone else will have to fill anything relevant in that regard): Ambassador Dogfighter Dreadnought Engineer Explorer Field Officer Helix Warrior Space Monkey Swindler Technosavant Tracer Xenophile Now, instead of just porting these classes over holesale, most hardcore Star Frontiers players would prefer to duplicate most, if not all of these, with combinations of the existing Star Frontiers skills. Besides the classes and skills, the feats and talents will also need porting somehow. The question, of course, is how to transfer such skills from the one system to the other and visa versa while minimizing the difference. Any and all help is appreciated. |
Doc Fishbone November 6, 2007 - 4:44pm | I am getting ready to run an SF game with d20 modern/future....I will post what works for us....this is going to be daunting...but if you combine the experience at my game table every sunday...it totals around 154 years...so we should be able to hamer something out. Mess with the fish....you get the bone!!! |
