Shadow Shack October 16, 2007 - 8:09pm | http://starfrontiers.20m.com/whats_new.html Can I add these to the document page or is that restricted to project hosts? |
Corjay (not verified) October 16, 2007 - 9:32pm | Just set up your own document family with a name that your players can identify, the way Will did. |
Shadow Shack October 17, 2007 - 7:04pm | I don't see the upload icon for the document page...just the print, discuss, and report icons. |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 7:42pm | Yeah, I have uploads disabled for members. What did you want to upload? |
Shadow Shack October 17, 2007 - 8:51pm | The house rules additions from that link in my first post |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:00pm | I see. Your original post was regarding the uploads section, not documents. Why not just copy and paste into a "What's New" document for your house rules? Copying and pasting copies over all formatting from your page. Are there pdf's or Word documents on there that I'm not seeing? Uploading isn't for uploading web pages into the documents section. It's for uploading files to the downloads section. |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:14pm | Example #1:
"The List" (not in any particular or chronological order) Ion Drives Plasma Drive Deflector Screen (DS) Albedo Shield (AS) Pod Laser (PL) Pod Laser Turret (PLT) Heavy Laser Cannon (HLC) Heavy Laser Battery (HLB) Ion Cannon (IC) Ion Battery (IB) Forward Firing Rockets (FFR) Striker Missile (SM) Heavy Bomb/Rocket (HBR) Warhead Launcher Turret (WT) Para-Military Freighters Streamlining Armor Plating Gravitics/Inertial Compensators (Campaign Note: I am slowly phasing this out of my game as I redesign my deckplans so that all my ships are decks-perpendicular to the main axis) Universal Air Dock By copying and pasting and then adding <div>'s with the black background color and coloring the blackened text white, you produce the same look, if that is what you are trying to accomplish. Otherwise, you can just copy and paste and change any colored text black (as demonstrated below). Some notes may need editing out, as the RTF editor doesn't like them. If I'm missing something, let me know. Example #2: "The List" (not in any particular or chronological order) Ion Drives Plasma Drive Deflector Screen (DS) Albedo Shield (AS) Pod Laser (PL) Pod Laser Turret (PLT) Heavy Laser Cannon (HLC) Heavy Laser Battery (HLB) Ion Cannon (IC) Ion Battery (IB) Forward Firing Rockets (FFR) Striker Missile (SM) Heavy Bomb/Rocket (HBR) Warhead Launcher Turret (WT) Para-Military Freighters Streamlining Armor Plating Gravitics/Inertial Compensators (Campaign Note: I am slowly phasing this out of my game as I redesign my deckplans so that all my ships are decks-perpendicular to the main axis) Universal Air Dock |
Shadow Shack October 17, 2007 - 9:14pm | Yep, that was what I wanted to load |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:18pm | Then copy and paste is what is needed. Web pages can't be uploaded to the documents section. |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:27pm | By the way, the reason I've disabled the uploads for the house wiki is because I didn't want people uploading things that are probably better served in their own projects. Additionally, maps and the like can be uploaded in personal files and displayed on a document page. PDF's can also be uploaded in personal files so that you can just link to them in your documents. |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:37pm | I'm not sure if you know that you can create your own documents in The House Rules Wiki just like with the Original SF Art project. You can, and feel free. It's all about sharing your house rules. Just go to the Documents section here in The House Rules Wiki and start a new house rules document with the name of your house rules. |
Corjay (not verified) October 17, 2007 - 9:53pm | Also, in order to add documents, you need to be a member. I set it that way so that I can manage anyone's membership and participation who might abuse their freedom by indiscriminately editing another person's house rules. I try to account for possible abuses where possible (I've learned my lesson in the past on other sites). |
