With the recent influx of newcomers to the site, we're starting to round out the user base quite nicely.  I'd like to take this time to welcome you all and encourage you guys to put a little bit into your profiles so that we can learn something about you.  Don't be afraid to jump right in headfirst and join or start projects or discussions!

Absolutely!  Welcome everyone.  I'm glad you all found the site (before we even went public with it to start pimping it!!) and look forward to any critique and/or cooperative collaboration from you!

Howdy, and thanks.

"You're everything that's base in humanity," Cochrane continued. "Drawing up strict, senseless rules for the sole reason of putting you at the top and excluding anyone you say doesn't belong or fit in, for no other reason than just because you say so."

Yes, I've been excited to see how well this has been received by the newcomers. It looks like the site is going to see lots of activity when it gets advertised in the SFman. I'm anxious to see where this goes.

Starting to see a few familiar screen names (honest, I haven't spread the word about the place yet!).

Nothing against any of the other SF sites, but I like the way this one is sticking to the original feel of the game. I think that's important for a fan base.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Welcome!!
I would suggest you start buy going to the Digitally Remastered section and downloading the Alpha Dawn Core book.
Alpha Dawn (or AD) is the book that started it all. Knight Hawks is the space combat rules for AD. Later came Zebulons Guide (ZG); which was bassically a rewrite of Star Frontiers.
If you go over to starfrontiers.com you can find almost everything that was released for Star Frontiers AD; to include published adventures and magazine articles.
Then you should take a look at the Frontiersman section on this website for all sorts of stuff that the Star Frontiers community has contributed and CleanCut Rogue has been nice enough to put together in a cool pdf magazine.
Dont forget to ask questions in the forum.

And check out E-Bay, the boxed sets go up for auction frequently and can be had at good bargains. Most of the game modules can also be had, although a couple (SF:5 and SF:6) don't pop up as often.

The game itself is really smooth and easy to play, the writers set it up so that anyone could learn despite past RPG experiences (or lacking thereof).

Also please remember to put a little something about yourself into your site profile!

I guess this is the place to put this...

I think the site is looking great!  I'm still poking around and getting used to the interface, but it seems like it has got a ton of potential.

Nice work.  :)

Very cool place. Finally a place I can bounce ideas about my SF game off other SF people! Smile
I been running one for a couple months. An actual play log can be found here. If anyones interested.

Well, make sure all your friends know about us! Glad to have you on board. Thanks for the link. You can hold PBP games here at ShadowShack's Online Starfrontiers Games. We're more than happy to get games going or read game reports. Feel free to post your live game reports in the Game Talk forum.

Just checking in. Some might recognize me as chatdemon from the old school D&D sites/forums. I've also been a SF player, AD/KH, since the game came out. Glad to find a site that's not obsessed with converting SF to d20! The remastered rule books are great, and the frontiersman zines keep getting better. I'm going to catch up on the forums and see if/where I can get involved.

Very cool thanks.Smile I dont know if I ready to run an online game (yet), but I'll throw up game reports in the game talk section. Speaking of which I probably should be updating my blog with further adventures of my players from last Sunday. But I'm to absorbed exploring this place!
