CleanCutRogue September 22, 2007 - 11:29am | Some of you already know I get involved with my son's youth football league. Today was his fifth season game, and they won... barely. Today was a lucky victory. Defense was very strong... the opposing team had a net yardage loss instead of gain. In fact, defense only gave up one first down. But that was defense, on which my kid plays seldom (though when he did, he pulled off 2 sacks). They don't like to have him play defense even though he's very good at it... he's the quarterback. Offense, however, was totally carried by defense. We fumbled four times... my son threw an interception... we could barely move the ball on a single offensive play. One lucky play resulted in a break-away run that gave us a single touchdown, our only points in the game, giving us a 6-0 victory. So it's a win... yay!! Fun to watch too. But now I have to go practice flat passes with my son and keep that ball from fumbling! 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

CleanCutRogue September 22, 2007 - 1:08pm | haha yeah - he had fun. But slowly the number of children in my yard grew until now there is a full game going on with 11 kids on each side and four dads over... one of 'em is saying we need a beer run. This is going to be a long day. 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

Corvus September 22, 2007 - 1:35pm | Beer! More for you, 'cuz I don't drink the stuff. But I'm glad you and your son are having a good time! I'm going out very shortly and won't be back until late, so I've spent the afternoon playing with my boy to celebrate his birthday. I wish we could join you!
