jedion357 October 9, 2020 - 7:35am | Refer to: Light Freighter. at 1.5 cargo units I was wondering if this class of ship is economically viable? Suggestion: the Eleanor Mores had an external attached landing stage that it could leave behind as an automated environmental sample collection thing. What if this was just a Cargo add on to HS 3 assault scout type ships? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Shadow Shack November 7, 2020 - 5:42pm | Not viable to any extent...it's more of an adventuring ship than anything, with the extra added bonus of having a small hold that the party can negotiate as far as content pricing goes. |
jedion357 November 8, 2020 - 8:24am | Still I like the Eleanor Mores landing module. Certainly possible on this size ship. lets say its slightly larger than the one on the E. Mores and that is a full cargo unit. Group of mercenaries want transport to planet X and they have a substantial amount of hardware and vehicles to transport- this makes that viable. port official in po-dunk landing field puts docking clamps on the lander's feet mostly looking for a bribe not realizing that the ship could just leave the lander In a abstract combat style like that of an Early STar Trek rpg the lander module could be jettisoned while being closely pursued. Etc. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Shadow Shack November 13, 2020 - 7:13am | A landing module works for a better financed group (along with the host ship). This is merely an introductory craft for introductory KH players. It's the same type of ship as the one from "Meet the Knight Owl Crew" in Federation Explorer...just beat up and salvaged for the Shat Rat's Salvage project. |
