CleanCutRogue September 17, 2007 - 11:12am | why not just use spaces? The purpose of the rtf editor is so that you don't have to use html... 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

Corjay (not verified) September 17, 2007 - 11:35am | No matter what I do, the extra spaces disappear, whether I use them in the RTF editor or manually input them in the code. I CANNOT put 3 spaces in a row. They'll disappear when I go to edit the document again. |
Corjay (not verified) September 17, 2007 - 11:39am | By the way, not only do the extra spaces disappear, so does the first space. |
Corjay (not verified) September 17, 2007 - 11:43am | Also, that pink with dark gray border on these support issues...nnnnno. |
CleanCutRogue September 17, 2007 - 12:24pm | That's three spaces. That was five spaces. Ten.... I'm not sure what the problem is? Now I edited it and the spaces are still there. 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

CleanCutRogue September 17, 2007 - 12:56pm | Yeah - those were random color codes I used... I planned to eventually address them Also, that pink with dark gray border on these support issues...nnnnno. When you break down the six issue status codes, they really fall into one of two types: Open issues (Unresolved, Need More Info, and Partially Resolved) and Closed issues (Fully Resolved, Will Not Fix, and Duplicate Issue). Therefore, to help identify that one set of issue status levels mean I'm still working on it and which set means I'm not even looking at it anymore, I changed it to just use two color schemes:
Wow it's easy to make nice looking stuff with these nifty new code tags!! 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

CleanCutRogue September 17, 2007 - 12:58pm | I did - and the spaces remained...?? Edit your post and you'll find out. 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

Corjay (not verified) September 17, 2007 - 1:58pm | Maybe it's a firefox thing? A setting of some sort? Or maybe it's just the RTF editor in the documents. |
Corjay (not verified) September 17, 2007 - 1:59pm | I just tried it in this thread and I'm still having the same issue. So what's different about me that it's not happening with you? |
CleanCutRogue September 17, 2007 - 5:38pm | It is very possible that it's a firefox versus internet explorer issue. Many of the settings for this rtf editor have to have hacks for one or the other. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get it to do <BR> instead of <p> </p> tags in both browsers!! I'll look into this and see what I can do to preserve spacing. 3. CleanCutRogue September 19, 2007 - 8:22am | I've spent a lot of time trying to resolve this, and can't seem to find anywhere the code is telling firefox to strip the extra spaces. I am putting this on the back burner - I won't fix this unless I find something new to make me understand what to do about it. There are a ton of formatting features built into this little editor - so you should be able to accomplish whatever you need using them, without the extra spaces. 3.
