With no hoses or anything extending from it, it's most likely a beverage in a highfalutin container...as such I would posit that it's some type of top shelf liquor akin to modern Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac.

The Malthar
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

I think your right- he has a cup in his right hand and it appears that bubbles are coming out of it and in the bottle there also appears to be bubbles.

idea just popped into my head- post Dramune Run- Quest for the Malthar Grail. The cup holds some secret and everyone wants it can the PCs survive the quest and claim the prize.

That said, this was a bit confusing to me when I was prepping the adventure for my RPG group back in the 80s. After all, dralasites don't drink booze as they have their own distinct way of getting intoxicated. When he featured the hombrew adventure I ran a few years ago, I had him surrounded by a cloud of mist as he watched the players fight robots for his own amusement Smile

I imagined it as being more like a steam bath of intoxicants.

I can totally see dralasites using these- with aromatics to cover up the environmental smells they're encountering or even for stimulants: Red Chukka
or even intoxicants.

EDIT
Red Star energy drink/spray, "Gives you engergy."
Red Star Fussion - better than stim dose
