Oh I know, but the logic around here is very flawed over guns. Law abiding people are the only ones they actually punish. The criminal element does not care about the laws. They want to portray all gun owners as crazy people just itching to kill other humans, which if that was true there would be a hell of lot less people in the USA and CA specifically. Naturally if your low income your just a criminal not someone living around criminals trying to survive. They pratt on about how you don't need guns, how the cops will protect you... since I have had to deal with 911 saying 30 minutes or more till police show, and someone is trying to bust down the front door... I can say BS to that, funny thing was when I lied and shouted at 911 & the door I had a gun and was going to shoot the bastard response time suddenly went to under 10 minutes! Threaten to shoot a bad guy and they send the cops! The people afraid of guns think they live in a safe environment, no wild animals (not true), nice suburbs all good people (also not true). Anyhow I know there is a thriving black market I am sure for all the big gangs and prison gangs in my area. CA has a huge problem with gangs and building policies have nicely made it easy for the gangs to expand all over my county and the cities in the area. Having been in some bad hoods & poor I think it sucks gang members use section 8 to expand and good poor people who are eligable can't ever seem to get housing through section 8.

You don't even have to threaten. All you have to say to a 911 opertor is that you are armed. You don't even have to divulge what you are armed with...all you have to do is imply if the cops don't show up soon things can and will get ugly fast.

When the cops show up and detain everyone and ask where the firearm is, you simply tell them with hands raised about the hammer in your back pocket (ironically, hammers killed more people last year than guns).

Actually the sheriff officers where not a problem in this case, I told them I lied to scare the guy trying to bust the door down & explained the crap 911 said. The officers said lying and shouting that probably saved the kids & me. So they where okay about it.

Hammers do kill more, in fact every one I know who have been murdered where stabbed to death, I wish it was a small list of people, but it is a rather large disturbing list.

Autombiles are still the leading cause of American deaths, easily four to one against guns. Yet nobody has the balls to create a law mandating background checks on convicted drivers, you can waltz into any dealer with no license and 15 prior DUI convictions yet drive out in a car. Hell, even with cash in hand they'll sell you one if you're intoxicated. Try buying a gun at a store with a single felony conviction --- or even a misdemeanor domestic conviction --- and see how quickly the cops show up to arrest you.
