Ifshnit Flag
|
To form this emlem/flag I combined two ideas.
Commerce.
2) Many real world cultures use symbolism relating to transformation
in their flags. (for instance france and USA using Day [white] sunset [red]
night [dark blue], or Ireland using autumn [orange] winter snow[white] and
summer [green])
What I came up with is a transformative symbol starting
in the center with bronze, then Copper, then silver and gold. The circles lead
from the center at the birth of comers in there culture, starting with the
trade metal of least value (and the first to be traded in great quantity) and
ending with a comet of gold and platinum (highest in value and more difficult
to purify)
The transformation will be explained more fully when I
complete my project in Ishnit ranks.
jedion357 September 3, 2011 - 8:09am | I like it. Obvious that you put a lot of thought into this. Your timing is good too as the Rim/ifshnit/hmma /Flight material is on deck for issue 18. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jacobsar September 3, 2011 - 8:52am | I will have the Rank structure done this weekend. How much time do I have befor 18? I have some half developed stuff on Ifshn history and religion. Reasonable men adapt to the world around them; unreasonable men make the world adapt to them. The world is changed by unreasonable men. Edwin Louis Cole |
jedion357 September 4, 2011 - 8:14am | We have until 2012 for 18. I was pulling all the stuff in the ZG expanded project together for a ZG to the Rim article so we should get to gather on this and compare notes especially since I just did some stage two of my timeline project and worked out a time line and story history for the Rim that brought it up to date with the point that I ended the previous timeline and history project. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
