jedion357 August 17, 2011 - 8:32am | On the map there's one at: Outer Reach, Dramune; Kwadl-Kit, K'tsa-Kar; Moraine's World, Prengular; Circe, Solar Minor; Ankle, Zebulon; Ifshna, Capella; and Stenmar, Kazack. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 August 17, 2011 - 8:52am | The way I see it Star Play built and operates 4 out of 5 in the Frontier. The one over Outer Reach is problematic, 1 the association with the known criminal element 2 the criminal element would have their pods deep into the operation of that station making also there is the fact that the criminals probably have enough integrity to not get into bad with a mega corp ;) . The stations in the Rim I'll come back to later. Star Play itself runs hundreds of theme parks, and attractions, hotels, spas, and resorts planet side throughout the Frontier but they are often spread out and not all clumped together on a planet- where ever space or location needs dictated. With the stations the reverse is true. Star play does not put its name on every thing either, rather it owns hundreds of businesses, hotels, theme parks, etc. all under their own name. So when you tour a Star Play station you have the feeling of being in a city where everything is independently owned and you don't see Star Play 's name everywhere. The corporation manages the stations, runs a customer service training institute, in a few cases collects franchise fees and administers its far flung entertainment empire. Where the public interacts with Star Play is usually through a secondary level of business going by a name like Wally's Barbecue, Water World Hotel and Spa, or Gravity Go. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 August 17, 2011 - 9:08am | Stations by size: Ankor Station has to be large, it sits at the cross roads of the Rim and the Frontier. So I'd expect nothing less then size 4 but likely a 5 or a 6. Morgaine's World station will likely be big siting in the hub of the Frontier and catching shore leave traffic from the major Space Fleet base. I'd call it a six. Circe resort station is in an out of the way system so I'd expect nothing larger then a three. Outer Reaches station I would not expect to be very big 1or2. Kwadl-Kit's station, I need to go back and look at the map and system data but my gut tells me 3or4 for this one. As for both stations in the Rim, I'd need to look things over but as per my as yet to be published background on the CDM I suspect that these were built to promote tourism by the CFM and support CFM interest so I'd guess small to mid size. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 August 17, 2011 - 9:21am | I'm interested in working up some deckplans, encounters, major NPCs, background and etc. Involving a RRS, but naturally the deck plan will only involve a section of a station. The ones that seem the most interesting to me are Ankor station, Zebulon; Circe Station, Solar Minor; maybe Kwadl-Kit station, K'tsa-Kar. I'm open to input on this. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 August 19, 2011 - 10:22am | Been thinking about the RRS station orbiting Outer Reach, the ASS would be Dark World station. What do we call the RRS station? Its certainly no resort, likely more of a drug and gamboling den and brothel. Does it orbit separately from Dark World station or is it attached as a second ring? To keep continuity with the module it would need to ne separate or have been built after the events in Dramune Run. The only name I have so far is Sin World Station. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
