How many can be expected exist in a given stellar system?
How many can be expected to be in a 'prime positioning'?
How many can be expected to be suitable/used for Colonies?
How many can be expected to be suitable/used for Logistics Depots?
How much advantage/disadvantage is there in comparing, a small asteroid fortress, and a large outer system station?

Small system bodies seem to be given quite a bit of theoretical possibility in configurations, that far outweigh the amount of observable configurations available.
So how much can they be used to fill out a system's population, and how easy is it to set up a private outpost for fun and profit?
How much fictional use of these can be expected to be plausibly viable?

Has anyone found these to be useful places to expand out the otherwise 'dead space' of the black?
How often do you have adventures pass by habited 'rouge systems' of small system bodies, beyond the main primaries of the frontier?

Oh humans!! Innocent We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?".

On my SF site I have an adventure (Shepherd's Star) that includes an asteroid belt the players must visit.

LOVE it!! nice work! I have seeded a couple systems like that out-there, this one is distinctly different from mine, I like it.
 no specific regional location intended?
 small unremarkable... classification M, T, L, Y?
