I know I didn't like how the computer treated my painting when transferring it through three different compressions, but did it really look bad enough that it requried taking it out of the issue entirely?

I'm probably suffering from a miniature hull scraper eating the inside of my brain casing.... but I thought that I was asked to use the rather cool looking large image that went through three different compression for the cover of #14.

Your article and images would have made a great start to a robot-themed-issue!

I hate to say it, but...

The standard container layout was left out. It leaps from the container ship to the corsair container and bypasses the standard container plan.

And didn't someone submit a 3D CG exterior view of the container ship somewhere?

Yes, I built a new model and rendered half a dozen or so shots, plus celshaded 3-view drawings and even the wireframe construction views.

"standard container layout" - I believe you are referring to the single image deck plan. It wasn't necessary since there are several cargo container sizes available and we had deck plans for the Corsair container. The addition of the TT-456 container ship article works rather well with the Corsair container. +1

I wanted to re-size the deck plans to use 1/2" squares for use with Chits (character counters) but just couldn't fit it in the webzine. But... it can be used online in Open RPG. Smile

GJD submitted several renders including a wireframe that will appear in future articles.

I'm very pleased with #13 and can't wait for #14. Lot's of goodness going on!

** Only one person has answered requests for #14 content. If you have something that can be finished in the next two weeks please consider submitting it. Look for new faces that should be appearing in #14 and #15.

Right, but the Corsair Container is not the same deck plan as the single image. Although in hindsight, the cargo area of the Corsair could be used as the standard container. Perhaps a notation could be added? Something along the lines of "A standard container has the same layout as the cargo area of the Corsair Container (see below), but rather than being a single deck the cargo area runs the entire length of the container with the crew area positioned only by the external elevator access."

With "see below" referring to the sequence of the article, as in see the corsair container lay out below...

Oh, okay. That looks sweet as small mage. The DWD logo seems a tad large. There was supposed to be a Adventure Bots! part 2, but I accidentally deleted the article. I found an earlier version of the original Adventure Bots! article that contains much of the information I put in part 2. I'll try to reproduce it, but I might be a little past the end of the month deadline.

If "Yazirian Power" is the theme for ish 14, I just submitted the grand daddy of all adversaries!
