    Background

Born and raised on Krataar, Gillian watched her parents murdered by KLC terrorists when she was eight, Gillian herself joining an anti-KLC group when she was in her early teens, entering Gollwin Academy on her 16th birthday, graduating at the top of her class two years later.

Assigned to command of the assault scout Falchion, she found herself in the thick of the tensions on her homeworld, her ship shot out from under her in the process of saving the crippled battle carrier Dauntless from being destroyed by ships of Kraatar's security forces. Badly wounded, Gillian was transported to Fortress Triad to recuperate, finding herself posted to the Melinda McCoy as executive officer, the McCoy serving as flagship of the Frontier Expiditionary Force...her service during the liberation of Snowball ensured her a promotion to command of the McCoy upon Commander Reider's promotion to Captain and command of the cruiser Triad.

As commander of the McCoy, Gillian distinguished herself during the fighting of the Second Sathar War as a part of Task Force Cassidine; it was as the flagship of Task Unit Cassidine Delta 3 that the McCoy entered the Dramune System, participating in the Third Dramune War.

In the fighting which ensued, the McCoy was crippled by the Malthar's forces, saved from certain destruction by the sacrifice of the assault scout Dirk, sixteen of the ship's crew killed, the rest, including Gillian, badly wounded, the destroyer retreating to Inner Reach, returning to Fortress Triad to be repaired, overhauled and refitted to take full advantage of artificial gravity and pion engine technologies, before being assigned to Joint Reaction Force #2.

Gillian was badly wounded again during the fighting over Plague World Delta, returning to Clarion to find the Federation in flames, Star Law broken, Billingslea and his New Frontier in control on Gran Quivera and Morgaine's World...and herself in command of the refitted strike cruiser—redesignated destroyer—Gran Quivera and of the newly-formed Battle Group Gran Quivera, Gillian being the second most senior Star Lawman to survive the Juggernaut Fleets.

    PERSONALITY

She tends to have a motherly personality, with a soft spot for strays, whether they be people or animals.

Courageous to the point of recklessness, Gillian has a bitter hatred of cowards, bullies and terrorists(one and the same thing in her mind)and absolutely no tolerance for xenophobes. Her sense of justice tends towards the hanging judge mentality more often than not.

Hey, she knows the McCoy's former 2nd astrogator Jack "Shotgun" Walker and the Dirk's former pilot Melanie Bauer...might have to arrange an encounter in Space Rats LOL
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

That would be good, tho' Gillian would be in command of something different in your SF universe(say, the Vincent, maybe).

BTW, apologies for the two-month absence from the game...between holidays, moving, work and family, I haven't the time. Will post soon, maybe.

"You're everything that's base in humanity," Cochrane continued. "Drawing up strict, senseless rules for the sole reason of putting you at the top and excluding anyone you say doesn't belong or fit in, for no other reason than just because you say so."
